Celtic Axe Throwers will offer free axe throwing with any donation from 5 to 10 p.m. Thursday, March 17.
Celtic Axe Throwers have opened a new location in Central Beaverton at BG Food Cartel.
To kick off the opening, the company is hosting an axe throwing fundraiser for crisis relief in Ukraine.
The fundraiser will go from 5 to 10 p.m. Thursday, March 17, on the location’s opening day.
“We wanted our opening to be about something more than just axe throwing. We hope that we can use this opportunity to help the people of Ukraine,” said owner Mark Maher.
The fundraiser will include free axe throwing with a donation of any amount, Maher said.
Celtic Axe Throwing will put out QR codes that link to Save the Children, a nonprofit with an ongoing fundraiser for children in Ukraine.
Celtic Axe Throwing chose Beaverton for its new location because of the continued rise in population and business development. The company also has locations in Portland, Tualatin, Oregon City, Forest Grove and one “mobile axe unit.”
The new location inside BG Food Cartel is Beaverton’s first axe throwing venue.
